Nampara is an extremely well presented house that sits in an enviable slightly elevated position near the end of one of the most sought after roads within the Cornish coastal resort of St Ives. It affords, in our opinion, some of the best views in the town. This lovely house has been a cherished home for the last 6 years and during this time the vendors have upgraded the property. Internally the spacious 4/5 bedroom accommodation takes advantage of the incredible views to the front with direct views over Porthmeor Beach, The Island and up to the the North coast. Accommodation comprises a ground floor of large lounge with views, a very special kitchen / diner again with views, 3 bedrooms, utility area, bathroom and on the first floor 2 further bedrooms, shower room and balcony taking advantage of the rural views over an SSSI. Externally is just as special with ample off road parking with garage, front garden which leads around to a quiet space garden and into the rear with patio, decked seating area, hot tub and pond all within a well stocked and private garden area.
Location and St Ives
The property sits within Carthew Way, accessed from Porthmeor Hill and Orange Lane. Carthew Way is a quiet, very well thought of and sought after cul-de-sac. The properties within the locality are a good mix of bungalows and houses with some of the older properties being renovated or re-built to take advantage of the location.
The property is around a 5 minute walk down to Porthmeor Beach, more specifically the West Side where a bakery, small bar and eatery sits on the beach. The famous South West Coastal footpath can also be accessed in under 5 minutes’ walk. St Ives has been described as the jewel of the south west. Sitting on the North Cornish Coast the crystal clear turquoise waters of Atlantic wash up on the fine golden sandy beaches and whether you want waves and surfing or calmer and paddle boarding, there is a beach to cater for all.
The restaurants that nestle around the world famous busy harbour are some of the best in the country, the cobbled streets and independent shops attract visitors from all over the world.
Finally the art scene is world renowned with the Tate Gallery occupying a fantastic location on the fringes of Porthmeor Beach.
To live in St Ives is incredible, the community is strong and there is so much going on and to get involved with including art classes, surf life saving, surf lessons, singing, quizzes, drama and a multitude of sports, you can also enjoy the scenery, pubs and restaurants all year.
The local schools all have excellent reputations, with St Ives Infants and Juniors close by and St Ives School not much further
We adore this property. When you walk in and see the view for yourself you'll understand why. However the property is so much more than that; it’s a comfortable and very user friendly house to live in, in particular that fantastic kitchen diner and the lovely gardens. This is a great house.
